Vomit Vest

If you've ever been to a punk show that matters in Texas, chances are you've seen my scumbag friend and his vest chugging endless beers and thrashing and puking in the pit! The back part of this vest has english cone studs and a Batallion of Saints back patch. The right half front is decked with 1/2 inch tree spikes and the other patches are from bands Drastic Actions, Cro Mags and Filthy Fuckers. According to owner "I know there's plenty of puke on that thing."

And with a life span going on 5 years, this vest has been everywhere: shows, bars, bbq's, jail(?), beer runs and I'm sure there's more but owner's probably too wasted to remember!

Zombie Panx Attax!

This soon to be "Full Metal Jacket" scores big with the Evil Dead back patch and 600+ studs. The front features a grip full of conical studs and Stiff Little Fingers, Oxymoron, Negative Approach, and Youth Brigade patches. Owner says front will be covered with said studs soon.

The back rips it up with an awesome Evil Dead backpatch and an Antiheros patch above it. Surronding that are maybe 550(?) studs. Not exactly sure, but definitely makes the back look kick ass.

According to owner, jacket was purchased for about ten bux, and most of the time spent working on it was at work! HA! Totally DIY as fuck! Here it is in drunken action:

Charged Vest!

This vest was initially supposed to be for my girlfriend. I totally thought this jacket was going to fit her great, but I was wrong. It fit way too big, so I decided to keep it. I tore off the sleeves, added a few patches. As of now I have and MDC patch, Drop Dead patch, a Severed Head of State patch and a Crucifix patch on the front.

The back of this vest has a Discharge "Never Again" patch, which I made from a T-shirt. I studded the top and a bit of the sides with some English cone studs. The bottom of this vest has 2 D rings that i stole from my previous job. Initially I added some studs to the top front of the vest but thought it lacked. I then added random studs on the whole left front side.

This vest could probably use a lot more work. For now, fuck it, it'll do.

Making Punk Jackets Again!

This is the first installment and introduction of WKPJ, a blog compromised of punk/hc/thrash/'77 vests, jackets, gear, how to's, and how not to's. As an advocate of the DIY punk movement, I can't deny that sewing and making gear plays a huge role. I (to an extent) believe that "You are what You wear", whether it's a Straight Edge XXX backpatch, a '77 studded leather, or an old crusty "leatherized" vest. Expect photos, rants, how to's, and a bunch more nonsense. All contributions are most welcome. DRESSED TO DISGUST
